Two St. Mary's teams going to Global Finals

TOWSON, Md.

Two teams from the same school are going to the Destination Imagination Global Finals in Knoxville, Tenn.

St. Mary's Catholic School won first place in the Elementary Division in the "Inside DImensions" competition, and first place in the Middle School Division in the "How'd That Happen?" competition.

Members of the Elementary Division team are Morgan Bartha, Matthew Brown, Peter Reiter, Michael Rosenthal, Joshua Semler, Aaron Snook and Addison Starliper. The team's managers are Kim Mentzell, Shawn Rosenthal and Kim Semler.

Members of the Middle School Division team are Alexandra Bartha, Mary McGinley, Courtney Peterson, Caroline Rosenthal, Isabella Schiro, Emily Steiner and Justin Winslow. The team's managers are Susan McGinley and Bernadette Winslow.

Two other local teams placed in Saturday's state competition held at Towson University. Emma K. Doub took fifth place in the Elementary Division in the "How'd That Happen?" competition, and Northern Middle School took fifth place in the Middle School Division in the "Back at You!" competition.

The Global Finals will be held May 24 to 27 in Knoxville, Tenn.
