Truett-Cordell

Jimmie and Esther Truett of Chambersburg, Pa., announce the engagement of their daughter, Melissa Sue Truett, to Donald Clinton Cordell, son of Ronald and Alma Jean Cordell of Greencastle, Pa.

Ms. Truett is a 1997 graduate of Chambersburg Area Senior High School and a 2005 graduate of Penn State University. She is an occupational therapist and program manager with Genesis Rehab at The Shook Home in Chambersburg.

Mr. Cordell is a 1994 graduate of Greencastle-Antrim High School and a 2004 graduate of Shepherd University. He is employed as a physical education teacher at Hooverville Elementary School in Waynesboro, Pa.

A July 22, 2006, wedding is planned.

Silva-Bowen

Juliana Braga Silva and Taylor Blackwell Bowen announce their engagement.

Ms. Silva is the daughter of Claudio and Rosalina Silva of Sao Paulo, Brazil. She is attending the Temple School of Cosmetology in Frederick, Md.

Mr. Bowen is the son of Howard and Virginia Bowen of Hagerstown. He is a graduate of St. Maria Goretti High School and received a bachelor's degree in business management from Villanova University.

A Dec. 9, 2006, wedding is planned.

Hagan-Jones

Jeanne Harrell Rhodes and John Rhodes announce the engagement of their daughter, Odella Dianne Hagan to Robert Lee Jones III, son of the late Robert L. Jones Jr., and the late Ruth L. Jones. Ms. Hagan also is the daughter of the late Ralph Austin Hagan.

Ms. Hagan received a bachelor's degree in social work from Hood College and a Master of Science degree in human performance. She is employed with Winchester Medical Center as an exercise physiologist in cardiopulmonary rehabilitation.

Mr. Jones received a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and a juris doctorate degree from Washington Lee University. He has had a law practice in Winchester for 30 years.

A June 17, 2006, wedding and honeymoon in Paris, France are planned.
