He is survived by six daughters, Rose M. Knode and husband, Harry, Linda L. Forrest Kline, Peggy S. Burrell and husband, Dickie, Lori Ann Kline, and Tammy J. Casner and husband, Lew, all of Hagerstown, and Debbie Bosley of Falling Waters, W.Va.; five sons, Danny L. Kline and wife, Sandra, of Clear Spring, Md., Jody L. Kline and Michael L. Kline, both of Hagerstown, Jimmy Kline of State Line, Pa., and Timmy Kline of Wolfsville, Md.; two sisters, Martha Williams of Smithsburg, and Mable Armstrong of Lappans; two brothers, Clarence Kline of Chewsville, and Jerry Kline of Smithsburg; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Cathy J. Kline; one sister, Vauda Martz; and four brothers, Bernard Kline, Grayson Kline Sr., Kenneth Kline and John Kline.
Services will be Monday, April 24, 2006, at 10 a.m. at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg, with Pastors Larry Aikens and Ed Hampton officiating. Burial will be in Garfield United Methodist Church Cemetery, Garfield, Md.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home, which will open its doors at 9 a.m. for members of the public to pay their respects.

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Eleanor K. Babcock, 79, of 200 N. Main St., Apt. 613, died Wednesday April 19, 2006, at Manorcare Health Services.
Born Aug. 8, 1926, in Sacramento, Calif., she was the daughter of the late Soen Oscar and Anna Marie Brindle Lindgren.
She was a 1944 graduate of San Jose (Calif.) High School.
She retired from the Dietary Department of Chambersburg Hospital, where she had worked for many years.
She was active with the Chambersburg Senior Center and volunteered with Meals on Wheels.
She is survived by two daughters, Bette Stevens of Hartland, Maine, and Marie Miley of Brownsville, Texas; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Carol J. Vanderau; two sons, William H. Babcock Jr. and Robert A. Babcock; one granddaughter; and nine siblings.
Memorial services will be today at 7 p.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg. Chaplain Adam Leeper will officiate. Burial will be private.

BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Dallas Julius Pettiford, 72, of Berkeley Springs, died Tuesday, April 18, 2006, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Martinsburg, W.Va.
Born Jan. 14, 1934, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Jeff and Sallie Moore Pettiford.
He attended public schools in Baltimore.
He had been employed with General Motors Chevrolet plant in Baltimore.
He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.
He was a Protestant.
He is survived by his partner of 30 years, H. Scott Tarner at home; one brother, Clinton Pettiford Sr. of Baltimore; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Cornelia Gill and Ruth Dotson; and two brothers, Leonard Pettiford and Flemming Pettiford.
Services and burial will be private.

HAMPTON, Va. - Frances Marie Eaton Slater, 82, of Hampton, and formerly of Martinsburg, W.Va., died Tuesday, April 18, 2006, in Hampton.
Born April 17, 1924, in Martinsburg, she was the daughter of the late Erman and Pearl Palmer Eaton.
Her husband, Richard W. Slater, preceded her in death.
She retired as a phone operator for Fort Eustis, Va.
She is survived by one daughter, Mary Jane Cole; one son, Everett L. Fields; one brother, Erman Eaton; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Jim Eaton, James Eaton and Claude Eaton; and one grandson.
Graveside services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in Rosedale Cemetery, Martinsburg.

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Edna R. Brindel, 95, of Manorcare Health Services, died Wednesday, April 19, 2006, at Manorcare.
Born July 1, 1910, in Hamilton Township, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Jennie Cump Shuman.
She was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church.
For 20 years, she attended the Farmers Market at the former Market House on 3rd Street in Chambersburg.
She is survived by nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Robert G. Sellers Funeral Home, Chambersburg. Chaplain Thomas Horst will officiate. Burial will be in St. Thomas (Pa.) Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
