Basket bingo

There will be a basket and pottery bingo held at the Maugansville Fire Hall on Sunday, April 23. Doors open at noon, and bingo starts at 1 p.m.

Tickets are $20, which includes 20 regular games and four bonus games. Along with the games, the event will also run raffles, concessions and tip jars.

Leader dog banquet

On Tuesday, April 25, the West Hagerstown Lions Club will host the Leader Dog Banquet at the Washington Square United Methodist Church. Club members will learn how the dogs are trained for the blind.

Dinner will be served at 6:45 p.m.; social time will begin at 6:15 p.m. Tickets are $11. Everyone is welcome. For details, call Donna Jackman at 301-790-2036.

Pancake breakfast

The West Hagerstown Lions Club will be having an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast on Saturday, April 29, from 6 to 11 a.m. at Girls Inc. on West Washington Street. Breakfast will include pancakes, Hoffman sausage, puddin', eggs, coffee, orange juice and milk. Cost is $3.50 in advance or $4 at the door.

Spaghetti dinner

The Wave/Surge Youth Ministries at Grace Brethen Church, at 837 Spruce St. in Hagerstown, is holding a spaghetti dinner featuring homemade spaghetti sauce, homemade garlic bread, salad, tea and a delectable selection of desserts.

The cost will be $6.50 for adults; $5 for children 6-12; and children under 6 eat free. Come anytime between the hours of 5 and 7:30 p.m.

Benefit show

The Mason Dixon Barbershop Chorus and the North High Concert Choir, directed by Curt Shetler, will combine efforts to present "Field of Dreams," a show to benefit the Mike Callas Stadium Fund. The show will be held on Saturday, April 22, at 7 p.m. in the North High auditorium.

Starting the show off, the Barbershop Chorus will stage a pep rally. Following that, the North High Concert Chorus will perform.

After a short intermission, local barbershop quartets Nice 'n Easy and Carousel, along with the Prospective Freedom Valley Sweet Adeline Chorus from Chambersburg, Pa., will entertain. Tickets are available from North High Concert Choir and Barbershop Chorus members and at the door. All ticket proceeds go to the Mike Callas Stadium Fund. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for students and seniors.
