Autism Society hosting dinner

The Autism Society of Washington County is sponsoring a spaghetti dinner to benefit Project Life Saver.

The dinner will be Thursday, April 27, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the South End Fire Hall, 409 W. First St., Hagerstown.

Tickets cost $6 for adults and $3 for those younger than 12.

Project Life Saver is a tracking system used to help find adults and children who might suffer from Alzheimer's disease or developmental disabilities, who are at risk of wandering, or straying away from care providers. The proceeds from the dinner will be used to implement the tracking system in the county.

Quilt show scheduled for April 22, 23

The Mason-Dixon Quilt Show will be Saturday, April 22, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, April 23, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Hagerstown Community College.


The event in the Athletic, Recreation and Community Center will feature more than 200 quilts, quilting vendors and raffles to win quilts.

Admission to the show costs $4. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the HCC women's basketball team.
