MARTINSBURG, W.Va.
A preliminary investigation shows that a fire in a vacant warehouse Friday might have been intentionally set, a fire captain said.
The fire was reported at 5:46 p.m. at a vacant fruit warehouse near the intersection of Queen Street and Pennsylvania Avenue, Capt. Steve Canby of the Martinsburg Fire Department said.
The warehouse is part of a complex owned by Vincent Groh, he said.
Firefighters forced open the door to the warehouse after seeing smoke coming from the two-story building. A fire on the first floor was put out in about 20 minutes, Canby said.
