Rain resolution

April 13, 2006

Two MVAL Antietam baseball games stopped by rain in the sixth inning on April 3 have both been declared five-inning complete games.

By ruling of Edward Masood, the Washington County Supervisor of Athletics, Health and Physical Education, who attended an MPSSAA Appeals Committee hearing on Sunday, both games revert back to the score at the end of five innings in accordance with the National Federation of State High School Associations rulebook (Rule 4, Section 2, Article 3).

With the ruling, Clear Spring gets a 4-2 victory over South Hagerstown, while Boonsboro earns a 3-0 decision over Williamsport.
