Cardio kickboxing class starts Tuesday

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. - The Shepherd University Wellness Center will hold cardio kickboxing classes every Tuesday at 6 p.m. beginning Tuesday at the Wellness Center in Sara Cree Hall. The class is free to all students and current members.

Shepherd to host college/student fair

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. - The Shepherd University Office of Admissions will host a spring college and multicultural student fair on Thursday, April 27 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and Friday, April 28 from 9 a.m. to noon in the Butcher Center.

Representatives from more than 50 colleges and universities will be in attendance. Representatives from branches of the U.S. Armed Services, West Virginia State Police Academy, technical and community colleges, and several area employers will also attend.

Both days are free and open to the public.

Wind ensemble in concert Thursday

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. - The Shepherd University Wind Ensemble will present its spring concert on Thursday at 8 p.m. in the Frank Center Theater. A pre-concert lecture describing the various compositions will begin at 7 p.m.


The program will include music by Ralph Vaughn Williams, John Barnes Chance, and will conclude with a transcription of Carl Orff's Carmina Burana.

Tickets are $10 for general admission, $5 for students 18 and under, faculty, and staff, and free to Shepherd students and Friends of Music MAC cardholders. For more information and tickets, call the concertline at 304-876-5555.
