The Hagerstown Business & Professional Women's Club celebrated "Women's History Month" at its March meeting. Pictured at left is Edie Wallace, a local history consultant, who spoke about women in history in the area; Myra Poffenberger, BPW president; and Julianna Albowicz, assistant to U.S. Sen. Barbara Mikulski, D-Md. Albowicz distributed copies of a March 6 letter from Mikulski: "Mikulski Celebrates Trailblazers in Women's History, Vows to Keep Fighting for Equality."

Deputy Grand Lecturer Fred Reel, PM RW PSGW of the Grand Lodge of Maryland, served as Marshall and installed officers for 2006 as follows: Grand Inspector John Bradfield PM, Worshipful Master Jesse Mills, Senior Warden Mark Fisher, Junior Warden Clarence Smith, Secretary Ray Barhight, Past Master, Treasurer William Whiteside, Senior Deacon Lynn Stahle, Junior Deacon Nelson Weicht, Senior Steward Donnie Bishop, Junior Steward John Pennesi, Chaplain Dean Smith, Tyler Lowell Younker.

Freemasonry is dedicated to the "brotherhood of man under the Fatherhood of God." Their principles include faith being a central portion of their lives; each person has a responsibility to be a good citizen; honor and integrity are keys to a meaningful life.
