Opening day washout

Somebody forgot to tell Mother Nature that Saturday was opening day for youth baseball and softball.

The weather was less than cooperative as a steady rain combined with gusty winds to put a damper on season-opening festivities for little leagues throughout Washington County.

The Washington County Girls Softball League braved the elements and went on with its opening ceremonies, but a full slate of games at the Kemps Mill Softball Complex was postponed.
