The Angles

Robert and Regina Angle of Greencastle, Pa., celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday, Nov. 5, 2005, at a surprise party at Antrim House Restaurant in Greencastle. The event was hosted by their children and spouses, Steve and Sue Angle of Greencastle, Todd and Ginger Angle of Chambersburg, Pa., Terry and Nancy Angle of Waynesboro, Pa., and Darren Angle of Shippensburg, Pa.

The Angles were married Nov. 4, 1955, at the home of Pastor Robert Easterday in Boonsboro.

Mrs. Angle is the daughter of Mary Koontz of Boonsboro. She is a homemaker.

Mr. Angle is the son of the late Ora and Henry Angle. He retired from Mack Trucks.

They have five grandchildren.

The Shanes

Alan and Janice (Spessard) Shane celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Thursday, Feb. 2, 2006. Their three children and spouses hosted a family dinner in their parents' honor at South Mountain Inn. Then, on Sunday, Feb. 5, assisted by Pastor Greg Martin, his wife Vanita and their children, they held a reception at Zion Lutheran Church in Williamsport.


The Shanes were married at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Frostburg, Md., by the Rev. William Yingling, now deceased.

Mrs. Shane is a former elementary school teacher.

Mr. Shane retired from the Washington County Board of Education and Washington County government.

They have two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The Scotts

The Reverend and Mrs. James R. Scott of Hagers-town celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary Feb. 15, 2006.

The Scotts were married in Williamsport on Feb. 15, 1941 by the Rev. Huddle, now deceased.

Mrs. Scott retired from the Maryland Ribbon Co.

The Rev. Scott retired from Washington County Hospital and is the pastor of Mount Lena Independent Christian Church in Boonsboro.

The Scotts have eight children, 18 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
