A man arrested in Baltimore Thursday has been charged with the Jan. 27 armed robbery of M&T Bank in Williamsport, according to a written release from the Washington County Sheriff's Department.

Ryan Kent Nesbitt, 33, of no fixed address, was charged with armed robbery, robbery, second-degree assault and theft more than $500 in connection with the robbery at the M&T Bank, at 14 W. Potomac St. in Williamsport, Investigator Chris Weaver said in the release.

Nesbitt was being held without bond Friday night at the Washington County Detention Center, a jail spokesman said.

According to the release, Nesbitt allegedly walked into the Williamsport bank at about 6:30 p.m. Jan. 27, passed a teller a note that read, "I have a gun stay calm and no one gets hurt," got $2,606 in cash and fled.
