WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Wheelmobile audition team will host a day of contestant audition events for "Wheel of Fortune," from 1 to 5 p.m. today at Ronald Regan building, 1300 Pennsylvania Ave., N.W. Atrium ballroom. Take Metro to Federal Triangle. This is a different location than previously annnouned.

Staff members from the promotions team will begin handing out applications for the first show at approximately noon. Searches will be held at 1, 2:30 and 4 p.m. Each person who attends may fill out an application, might have his or her name drawn at random to play a simulated version of the game, and be evaluated to be a potential contestant of the show.




Ceramics classes offered for adults

MONT ALTO, Pa. - The Nicodemus Center in affiliation with Penn State Mont Alto will offer two sessions of introduction to ceramics for adults. The instructor for both sessions is Tom McFarland, arts teacher at St. Maria Goretti High School in Hagerstown. 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesdays, April 12, through May 31, in the Nicodemus Center's pottery studio; or 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, June 20 through July 13, also in the pottery studio. Youth program at Catoctin Mountain Park

THURMONT, Md. - The National Park Service announces the 2006 Youth Conservation Corps program at Catoctin Mountain Park. The YCC program will last for eight weeks beginning Monday, June 19, and ending Friday, Aug. 11. The workday will begin at 8 a.m. and end at 4:30 p.m.

The program is open to ages 15 through 18. The position will require daily outdoor labor, working in heat, and using hand tools. The 2006 work projects include resource monitoring of fish populations, gypsy moths, exotic plants, trail construction; and painting during inclement weather. Pay is $6.15 per hour.

Applications may be obtained from local high school guidance counselors or by contacting Andy Ludwig at Catoctin Mountain Park, 6602 Foxville Road, Thurmont, MD 21788. Completed applications must be mailed to Ludwig by Saturday, April 15.
