Duplicate bridge club posts results

Fourteen pairs competed Friday night, March 31, during a meeting of the Little Heiskell Duplicate Bridge Club in a charity game benefiting the Morris Frock American Legion Post on Northern Avenue in Hagers-town.

In the overall finishes: Margaret Peirce and Tim Smith were in first place in the A stratum with a 59.82-percent game. Jean Toth and Rick Elbo were second in A with 58.63 percent, and Frank and Anne Carden tied with Debbie and Scott Kiser for third place in A with 55.36 percent. Debbie and Scott were also first in the B and C strata.

Cindy and Rod Walser placed fifth in A and second in B with 51.19 percent, and Bill and Madeline Davis were third in B with 50.89 percent. Ann Lebherz and Bob Munger placed fourth in B with 49.7 percent, and Barbara Couch and Nancy Burger finished second in C with 49.4 percent. Carolyn Emerson and Jean Hollyday were second in B in the East/West section with 48.21 percent.

In the annual masterpoint race as of the end of March, Debbie and Scott Kiser are tied for first place with 10.54 points. Margaret Peirce is in third place with 8.82 points, and Lois and Dick Taylor are tied for fourth with 8.02 points. Bill and Madeline Davis are tied for sixth place with 7.11, and Jean Toth and Rick Elbo are tied for eighth with 5.92.

The Little Heiskell Duplicate Bridge Club meets at 7:30 p.m. Fridays at the American Legion on Northern Avenue in Hagerstown. All bridge players are welcome. For more information, call 301-797-4627.
