Rabies clinic Saturday

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Antietam Humane Society, 8513 Lyons Road, will hold a rabies clinic at the shelter from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 8. Dogs and cats 3 months of age and older may be vaccinated at a cost of $7 each. All animals should be on a leash or in a carrier.

Open-call auditions for film

ROCKVILLE, Md. - Warner Brothers has enlisted MikeLemonCasting in a national search for a 7- to 10-year-old Caucasian boy to play the lead in a major film slated to shoot this fall. No acting experience is necessary. The boy must be free-spirited, wildly imaginative and yet have the focus, patience and stamina to work long days on set.

There will be an open call in the Washington, D.C., area from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 8, at Christ Episcopal School, 109 S. Washington St., Rockville, Md. Boys should not arrive before 10:30 a.m. All boys who arrive by 1 p.m. will be seen. Union and nonunion boys will be seen. Each child must come with a current photo. No other types will be seen at this call.

Dog wash at Wilson College

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Wilson College VMT Club will sponsor a dog wash, including wash, nail trim, ear cleaning and drying from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 8, at Wilson College's VMT building. Spaghetti dinner in Fairplay

FAIRPLAY - District 12 Ruritan will hold an all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner from noon to 5 p.m. or until sold out on Saturday, April 8, at Tilghmanton Woods Community Center on Breathedsville Road at Manor Church Road. The cost is $6 for adults; $3 for ages 12 and younger. Takeout is available. The dinner includes spaghetti, applesauce or homemade coleslaw, rolls, tea or coffee.

Train trip to Washington

The Cherry Blossom Special will travel from Martinsburg, W.Va., or Brunswick, Md., to Washington, D.C., and return on Saturday, April 8. The train departs Martinsburg at 7:30 a.m. and Brunswick at 8:10 a.m., and returns to Brunswick at 5:30 p.m., and Martinsburg at 6:15 p.m. The cost is $50 for adults; $45 for senior citizens; and $25 for children.

Free health screenings

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - In celebration of National Public Health Week, the Berkeley County Health Department will hold an open house from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, April 8. The open house will offer free health screenings to the public.

The Berkeley County Health Department will offer free blood pressure screenings, free glucose and cholesterol screenings, free radon test kits, pandemic influenza and program information along with refreshments and door prizes.
