April 03, 2006

The seventh- and eighth- graders of Heritage Academy traveled to The Herald-Mail Co. and to The Maryland Theatre on Friday, March 3.

At The Herald-Mail, students toured the company and had the opportunity to learn the process of making newspapers.

Seventh-grader Taylor McIntire said, "It was really neat to see how much work was put into publishing just one newspaper."

The students also went to The Maryland Theatre, where they saw numerous plays, including "The Necklace," "The Tell-Tale Heart," "Legends of Sleepy Hollow," "The Monkey's Paw" and "The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County."

Eighth-grader Kayla Kriner said, "It was interesting to see the different plays that they performed."
