Veterans' memorial donations sought

BOONSBORO - The communities of Mount Lena and Beaver Creek plan to erect a memorial to veterans at the Mount Lena United Methodist Church in time for dedication on Memorial Day. A roster of veterans from these communities is being compiled. To add a name, call 301-797-4436; or 301-739-5064. Basket bingo

WILLIAMSPORT - Sunday, April 2, doors open at 11 a.m., lunch served at noon, bingo begins at 1 p.m., Williamsport Fire Hall. Tickets cost $25 or two for $40. Street ball extravaganza

FREDERICK, Md. - For the benefit of Crestwood Middle School student incentives program, Thursday, April 6, doors open at 6:30 p.m., event at 7 p.m., Tuscarora High School, 5312 Ballenger Creek Pike. The event will feature local celebrity Randy "White Chocolate" Gill, several of his Maryland Nighthawk teammates and other players featured on the AND1 street ball tour. Tickets purchased in advance cost $10; or $12 at the door. A portion of ticket proceeds benefit Crestwood school's student incentives program.
