Women's ensemble to perform



The Antietam Women's Ensemble will present a spring concert, "The Poet Sings," at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sharpsburg on Saturday, April 29, at 8 p.m., and Sunday, April 30, at 3 p.m.

The concert will feature settings of Shakespeare, Christina Rosetti and Lewis Carroll, and a funny version of "Fair Warning," the poem that inspired the Red Hat Ladies movement.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit local literary efforts.

Trinity Lutheran Church is at the corner of Church and Main streets in Sharpsburg.




London Fog reunion planned



The Boonsboro London Fog plant closed its doors in January 1994. Since then, many former employees have expressed interest in having a reunion. A committee has been formed and a reunion is in the planning stages for August.

Class of 1971 plans reunion



South Hagerstown High School's Class of 1971 will celebrate its 35-year class reunion on Saturday, July 22, at the Sheraton Four Points on Dual Highway in Hagerstown.

The reunion committee will mail invitations by the end of March. Organizers ask anyone who knows a classmate who is living out of town to pass the information on to them.
