Pa. Rotary Club to host chicken fundraiser

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - The Chambersburg Rotary Club and Knights of Columbus will host their annual Chicken 'N Stuff on Monday, April 17 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 to 7 p.m. at the Chambersburg Middle School Cafeteria, 1151 E. McKinley St.

Members of both organizations have combined their efforts for 43 years to raise funds for a local non-profit organization. Beginning at 7 AM, members prepare the food that is cooked & served throughout the lunch & dinner hours of the day. The meal consists of oven roasted chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, apple sauce, roll & butter, dessert & beverage for a donation of $6.00. Participants may eat their meal in the school's cafeteria or take-out meals are available through a separate speedy take-out area. Large take out orders may be ordered in advance by contacting any Rotarian or Knight or by calling Sam Miller. Delivery is free for orders of 20 or more within a 15 mile radius of Chambersburg and can be arranged by contacting Sam Miller, (729-5107), Chambersburg Rotarian & Chairman of the event. Tickets may be obtained through any Rotarian or Knight or at the door the day of the event.

Franklin County Therapeutic Riding Center will be the recipient of the proceeds from this event. The Franklin County Therapeutic Riding Program is an all-volunteer-supported horse riding program for the disabled. For more information on the Riding Center's program phone 717-263-0443.
