Please note the following correction; I mistakenly reported in last week's column that the Jacobs Brothers, an evangelistic musical group, would be performing on April 7. The correct date and time of the performance is Thursday, April 6, at 7 p.m. at Virginia Avenue Baptist Church. I apologize for this error.

Mall hosting Big Boys Big Toys

Head out to Valley Mall for the latest in fun and exciting gadgets and technology.

The mall will be hosting Big Boys Big Toys starting Friday, March 24. The latest in home spas, cars, trucks, trailers, sports and recreation, fitness, stereos and equipment and Web technology will be offered. Vendors will be set up through Saturday, March 25.

Easter Bunny coming to mall

The Easter Bunny will arrive very soon ... he will be making his way to the Halfway area on Saturday, March 25, at the mall. The Easter Bunny will be available to visit with and have photos taken through Saturday, April 15. The Easter Bunny will be in center court in his garden designed by Nature Boys Landscaping. Time for Home and Leisure Show

Time for spring cleaning and sprucing up? Visit the mall for helpful tips and home-remodeling ideas during the annual Home and Leisure Show. Visit with vendors beginning Friday, March 31 through Sunday, April 2, who can assist with getting your home into shape.

Lions Club to hold meeting

The Lions Club of Halfway will be hosting a regular meeting on Thursday, April 6, at the Plaza Hotel on Underpass Way.

A zone meeting is scheduled for Thursday, April 20, at the Plaza.

The Lions, who sponsor our area's Halfway Park Days, are busy with making upcoming preparations for this annual event. Halfway Park Days are scheduled for May 27 and May 28 this year. For information on participating in Halfway Park Days, please contact 301-582-0607.
