Around North Hagerstown

Plucky Duckies

The girls and I had the pleasure of renewing our acquaintance with two familiar feathered friends who recently returned from their far-off winter travels.

Yes, Daffy and Daisy Duck have braved the recent cold spell in our lovely town to settle back into their creekside dwelling near Potomac Heights Elementary and partake of the hearty fare offered at the Schmidt family backyard birdseed diner three times daily since last Tuesday.

Thankfully, we were prepared for the ducks' return and had a store of cracked corn set aside for the momentous occasion when they waddled their way back to Potomac Manor.

So, even though the weather isn't very spring-like yet, we know the new season can't be too far off, thanks to Daffy and Daisy's plucky return to Hagerstown - in spite of the recent spell of cold weather from Ol' Man Winter!

Museum fundraiser
