In the nightcap, Jonh Hawse's sacrifice fly to left scored Andrew McCormick in the bottom of the seventh for the Rams victory. Earlier, Hawse's two-run double tied the game in the fifth. Andrew McCormick and Jefferson graduate Matt Noll each had two hits to pace the Rams. Bowers (2-0) picked up the win in relief.
COLLEGE SOFTBALL
HCC 15-9, York College 2-2
Adrienne Munoz led off the bottom of the first inning of the first game with a home run, and Hagerstown Community College never looked back, rolling to a doubleheader sweep of York College.
Munoz, who also doubled, drove in two runs and scored three in the opener for the Hawks. Tawnya Blair tripled twice and finished with three hits and three RBI, Karey Toms went 3-for-3 and drove in three and Amy Miller added two hits and scored twice.
In the second game, Megan Riggleman had two hits, stole four bases and scored three runs, while Karey Toms had two hits, including a double, and drove in three for HCC.
Shepherd 2-8, Davis & Elkins 1-0
SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. - Shepherd University swept Davis & Elkins in WVIAC action.
In the opener, The Rams (9-10, 3-1) pushed across the winning run in the seventh inning. April Przygocki walked, moved to second on a sacrific and scored on an infield error. Karen Burnette (3-3) tossed a two-hitter and fanned four as she improved to 3-3 on the year.
Shepherd used a 10-hit attack for a shutout victory in the nightcap. Rebekah Walsh's two-run double highlighted a three-run fifth for the Rams. Brooke Small went 3-for-3 and Stephanie Sims went 2-for-2. Mia Zappacosta (4-3) went the distance, fanned four and scattered three hits.

Mercersburg wins tourney
OAKTON, Va. - Mercersburg Academy defeated St. John's-Prospect Hall 13-3 and Flint Hill 8-7 to win the Flint Hill Tournament on Saturday.
Jenelle Paolini and Kelly Barrett scored four goals each to lead the Blue Storm over SJPH. Medora Hartz had three goals and Gwen Buss and Christiane Volk also scored. Hartz had three assists and Barrett two.
In the championship game, Mercersburg rallied from a 4-0 deficit. Barrett had three goals, Hartz and Paolini had two each and Buss also scored. Steph Turner made 15 saves.
