KNOXVILLE, Md. - Sponsored by Pleasant Valley Ruritan Club, Saturday, March 25, 6 to 11 a.m., Brownsville Church of the Brethren, 1915 Rohrersville Road, Md. 67, 10 miles south of Alt. U.S. 40 and two miles north of U.S. 340. Menu includes pancakes, sausage, sausage gravy, scrambled eggs, orange juice and coffee. Tickets cost $5, adults; $3, ages 6 to 12; and ages 5 and younger eat free. Country ham sandwiches and raffle tickets also will be sold. Proceeds benefit the club's service projects.

Proceeds benefit community projects.


Craft fair

For the benefit of Friends of Felines, Saturday, March 25, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Four Points Sheraton, Dual Highway, Hagerstown. Handcrafted items from local artisans will be sold. Vendors are wanted. Orders for Wolfgang candy also will be taken. Call Tina Miller, 240-675-9532.

Soup, sandwich and bake sale

GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Saturday, March 25, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Trinity Lutheran Church, 1186 Jason Drive. Vegetable beef, chicken corn and ham/bean soup will be sold for $3.50 per quart. Ham sandwiches will cost $2. Lunch will be served in the church fellowship room. Menu includes soups, barbecue, hot dogs, ham sandwiches, desserts and beverages. Proceeds benefit the church building fund with a tithe to a local charity. Takeout orders should be placed by Tuesday, March 21. Chicken barbecue, open pit beef and ham sandwich sale

FUNKSTOWN - Saturday, March 25, 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Funkstown Volunteer Fire Company station. Cost of 1/2 chicken and roll with butter, pit beef or ham sandwich is $5. Women's Day event, Saturday, March 25, 11 a.m., Ebenezer African Methodist Episcopal Church, 40 W. Bethel St., Hagerstown. Cost of vegetable, bean or chicken corn soup is $1.25 per bowl; or $2.50 per pint. Ham, turkey and fish sandwiches will cost $2.50 and $3. Baked goods also will be sold.

A night of athletic talent

WILLIAMSPORT - Sponsored by 4 Star Athletic Complex for the benefit of Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Saturday, March 25, 7 p.m., 4 Star Athletic Complex, Milestone Terrace. Cost is a donation. Performances include 4 Star's gymnastics team, levels 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 on the uneven bars, balance beam, floor exercise and tumbling; a karate demonstration by Lisa Buckley and Bob Sandburg; floor exercise routines by Maryland state champion Alicia Perez and Russian gymnast Natalia Kruller; a dance routine by Leanne Heinlein; and performance by national champion cheerleading squad, Magnum Force.

Basket and Pampered Chef bingo
