Ryan Physical Therapy Associates

Ryan Physical Therapy Associates will present a free seminar in its continuing community health series, "Helping You Help Yourself."

The program, "Get Ready For Golf," will be held on Wednesday, March 29, at 7 p.m., at the office at 1190 Mount Aetna Road in Hagerstown.

The program is to be presented by Dan Neff, certified golf teaching professional, and head golf coach at Smithsburg High School, and Stephen D. Ryan, MPT, president of Ryan Physical Therapy Associates.

The workshop will focus on preventing and managing neck, back and extremity problems common to golfers, particularly aging golfers. It strives to give participants the means by which they can extend their ability to play.

Based on a comprehensive sports medicine and fitness program for golfers of all levels, the seminar will help golfers play the game for more years by reducing the strain of the swing on the spine and extremities. Spinal stabilization and quick and effective trunk strengthening techniques will be demonstrated, and will include special protocols for the senior golfer and joint replacement patient.

Although there is no charge, seating is limited. Those interested in attending may call 301-797-4572 to reserve a seat.
