American Red Cross

Maria I. Johns, formerly of the YMCA of Metropolitan Washington Association, joined the American Red Cross Washington County Chapter as the director of financial development.

She will be responsible for the planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of all fundraising activities, programs, projects and events.

Morgan-Keller Inc.

Jerry L. Bowman has been named senior vice president, general contracts, for Morgan-Keller Inc.

Bowman will oversee the project management portion of Morgan-Keller's general contracts division, along with helping to coordinate the interaction between the preconstruction, business development and general contracts operations.

He has extensive senior management level experience within the construction industry, with companies including Whiting Turner, McCormick Construction, and most recently, Riparius Construction Inc. His project experience includes managing construction projects in Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, North Carolina and South Carolina.

Brook Lane

James Egan, M.D., a child and adolescent psychiatrist, and Daksha Patel, M.D., an adult psychiatrist, have joined Brook Lane's medical staff.

Egan is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in general psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry. He previously was a professor of psychiatry at George Washington University and chairman of the Department of Psychiatry at Children's Hospital, Washington, D.C.

Patel is a graduate of SABA University School of Medicine. She completed her residency training in adult psychiatry and fellowship training in geriatric psychiatry at the University of Virginia.

Patel had served as the medical director and geriatric psychiatrist for Rockingham Memorial Hospital and Valley Behavioral Medicine in Harrisonburg, Va.

Washington County Commission on Aging

Washington County Commission on Aging Inc./Area Agency on Aging has named Linda Crone, R.N., program manager of the new Community-Based Care Division.

Crone has been with the Commission on Aging for more than 15 years, and most recently served as program manager for Personal and Senior Care and the Family Caregivers program.

She previously worked for the Washington Co. Health department and the Department of Social Services.

Sandra Gaylor has been named program manager of the new Nutrition and Wellness Division.

Gaylor has been with the organization since 1993, and most recently served as Nutrition Program manager. She oversees seven senior nutrition centers, transportation services, and wellness, recreational and educational programming.

EZ Dumper Products

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Donnie McCoy, of Chambersburg, was chosen EZ Dumper Products LLC's 2005 Employee of the Year.

McCoy, who works in the welding department, previously worked for Foster Trailers, which was purchased by EZ Dumper Products LLC in 2003.

Denny Sheffler was named the November 2005 Employee of the Month.

Sheffler, of Waynesboro, Pa., has been an employee of the company since 2003.

December's outstanding Employee of the Month was Keith Ott, who works in the paint department. He has been an employee since 2002.

Chester Baer, of Waynesboro, was named employee of the month for January. He works in the welding department.

Andrew Wetzel, of Mercersburg, Pa., was named Employee of the Month for February. A machine shop employee, he began working at EZ Dumper in 1999.

MCI-H

Jeffrey Beattie, correctional officer sergeant on the 4 to 12 shift, was named Employee of the Month at the Maryland Correctional Institution-Hagerstown.

He was recognized for the major role he played during a cell search that resulted in the recovery of a cellular phone, along with other contraband items.

Beaver Mechanical Contractors

Beaver Mechanical Contractors Inc., a local commercial, industrial, institutional and residential mechanical contractor, has announced that owner James C. Bryan has been appointed chief executive officer.

In addition, co-owner Timothy W. Bryan has been appointed president.

Comfort Keepers

FAYETTEVILLE, Pa. - Linda Kane has been named Comfort Keepers' Employee of the Month for February.

Kane has been employed by Comfort Keepers for more than three years.

Dr. Nathan Wei

FREDERICK, Md. - Dr. Nathan Wei was elected to membership in the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine.

AIUM is a national organization that integrates the subspecialties of medicine that use ultrasound as a diagnostic-imaging tool.

Wei is a board-certified rheumatologist and clinical director of the Arthritis and Osteoporosis Center of Maryland in Frederick.
