Maugansville Ruritan to hold fundraiser

Once again, the Maugansville Ruritan Club will be having its annual community auction.

This year's fundraiser will be held on Saturday, March 18, beginning at 3 p.m at the Ruritan Community Center on Maugans Avenue in Maugansville.

The proceeds from this auction will go to help Allyson Semler, 11-month-old daughter of Jaime Lynn Connor and Aaron Semler of Hagerstown. Allyson has Moyamoya disease, a very rare, progressive disorder which causes obstruction of major blood vessels around the base of the brain. The Maugansville Ruritan Club is attempting to help Allyson and her family by raising money and establishing a fund at a local bank to help pay her mounting medical expenses.

Please help support this endeavor by giving any saleable items, gift certificates, etc., that can be sold on the day of the auction by calling 301-733-5854. If you would prefer to make a donation, make your check payable to: Maugansville Ruritan Club F.B.O. Allyson Semler and mail to Hagerstown Trust Co., P.O. Box 189, Hagers-town, MD 21741-9986, or drop it off at the Maugans Avenue branch.
