Samantha Kreps was recently selected as a 2006 Miss Maryland Princess, and will be crowned by Miss Maryland Rachel Ellsworth on Sunday, June 25.

Now in its second year, the Miss Maryland Scholarship Organization has selected young girls ages 3 to 12 from across the state of Maryland to serve as Miss Maryland Princesses. Each princess selected will have a Miss Maryland contestant as a mentor for the year, and will participate in all Miss Maryland Scholarship Organization events, serving as special guests at the Miss Maryland Outstanding Teen Program on Friday, June 25, at The Maryland Theatre.

Samantha is the daughter of Greg and Jackie Kreps of Clear Spring, and is the granddaughter of Doris and Leroy Kreps of Clear Spring, and of the late Lucille Fisher of Hagerstown.

Samantha also served as a Miss Maryland Princess in 2005 and rode in the Alsatia Mummer's Parade with Miss Maryland Rachel Ellsworth this past October.
