Mack Golden Bulldogs

MAUGANSVILLE - Monday, March 13, social hour at 9:15 a.m., meeting at 10 a.m., U.A.W. Union Hall, Maugans Avenue. Following coffee and doughnuts, Cheryl Shields will speak about Waste Management and the environment. All Mack Trucks retirees are welcome. FUNKSTOWN - Tuesday, March 14, 1:30 p.m., Funkstown Moose Lodge. Katherine Jones, Maryland state legal aide, will speak about identity theft and how to protect oneself. Refreshments will be served. Meetings are canceled if schools are closed or delayed two hours due to inclement weather.

American Association of University Women

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. - Hagerstown Branch, Founders Day luncheon, Saturday, March 18, 11:30 a.m., Bavarian Inn. Cold cut sub sale

WOLFSVILLE, Md. - The Wolfsville Ruritan Club is taking orders through Monday, March 13, for 12-inch cold cut subs. Cost is $4.50. To place an order, call Mary Wiles, 1-301-293-2535. Indicate name, phone number and number of subs you are ordering. Subs can be picked up Thursday, March 16, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Wolfsville Ruritan Park Grounds, Brandenburg Hollow Road. Take Interstate 70 to exit 42 to Md. 17 north. Go 8 miles to Wolfsville, turn right on Stottlemeyer Road, then left on Brandenburg Hollow Road to the park. Proceeds benefit community activities and park maintenance.

Spaghetti supper

For the benefit of the Hagers-town Roundhouse Museum, Tuesday, March 14, 5:30 to 7 p.m., John Wesley United Methodist Church, 129 N. Potomac St., Hagerstown. Menu includes spaghetti with meat sauce, salad, garlic bread, beverage and dessert table. Cost is $5.50, adults; a$3, ages 3 to 10; ages younger than 3 eat free. All-you-can-eat country breakfast

MYERSVILLE, Md. - Saturday, March 18, 7 to 10:30 a.m., Myersville fire hall. Menu includes potatoes, bacon, sausage, hominy, pudding, ponhaus, eggs, French toast, biscuits, sausage gravy and fruit. Cost is $6, adults; $5, ages older than 60; $3, ages 6 to 12; ages younger than 6 eat free. The old-fashioned country breakfast will be held the third Saturday of each month through April. Proceeds benefit the fire company.
