Pet of the week

March 11, 2006

Pearl is a pretty feline who came to the Humane Society of Washington County in bad shape. She had a broken leg and was suffering from a cold. She was put into foster care and now is ready for a permanent home. She is somewhat shy, so a quiet home with someone who will appreciate her affectionate nature would be best for Pearl.

She is housebroken and prefers to eat dry food.

Pet tip

You can tell a great deal about what cats want or how they feel simply by the look in their eyes or their reaction to stimuli. Are your cat's ears twitching in your direction like satellite dishes when you are speaking? That is because it is absorbing everything you are saying. Does your cat's back rise up to meet your hand when you pet him? This means your cat is enjoying this contact with you.
