Rhone stays alive

HERSHEY, Pa. - Of the three area wrestlers who qualified for the PIAA State Wrestling Championships, Chambersburg senior Jonathan Rhone is the only one left in the tournament.

Rhone (31-5) edged Pennsbury's Jack Lee 4-3 Thursday in the Class AAA first round at 275 pounds. Rhone will face Wyoming Valley West's Trevin Cowman (32-1) in the quarterfinals today. The championships conclude Saturday.

Greencastle-Antrim junior Conrad Myers (152) and James Buchanan senior Dustin Pine (189) each went 0-2 Thursday in Class AA.

Myers (36-4) fell 11-9 to Port Allegany's Cody Anderson and then 15-5 to Northwestern Lehigh's Brandon Williams.

Pine (36-8) was pinned twice - first by Sharon's Kellen Harris in 4:16 and then by Chartiers-Houston's Phil Henderson in 4:37.
