On Sunday, March 19, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., the club will serve a Sunday brunch. Those attending will get to sample a wide variety of wonderful dishes prepared by Women's Club members. St. Ann Catholic Church will hold a Basket Bingo at the Elks Lodge near Robinwood on Sunday, March 12. Doors open at 11 a.m. with a luncheon featuring fried chicken, potatoes, and coleslaw served at noon. Early bird games begin at 1 p.m. Tickets are $20 per person in advance or $25 at the door, and includes luncheon and 24 games of bingo. The WCPS Partners for Success Family Support Center is offering a seminar for parents of special needs children on Tuesday, March 14, at Marshall Street School, 1350 Marshall St.
The presentation includes important tips for parents to protect their child's benefits and organize important information about their child and his or her likes and dislikes. Parents will make a binder to hold and organize important papers and information about their child and get important information on how to plan for their child's future needs. Information on wills and estates will also be available. All materials will be supplied to make an information binder. The seminar is free, although preregistration is required. A benefit concert featuring Hot Apple Pie and Tori Anderson and Possum Holler plus an auction will be held Saturday, March 11, at HCC's Kepler Theater to benefit the "Safe Place" Child Advocacy Center of Washington County. The doors open at 5:30 p.m. General admission is $5 per person at the door.

Federal Little League
Get ready, kids - baseball season is coming! Federal Little League announces tryouts and registration dates for kids age 5 through 12 years old as of May 1, 2006.
Tryouts and registration will be held Saturday, March 11 from 11 a.m. until noon for 11- and 12-year-olds and from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. for 9- and 10-year-olds; Sunday, March 12, from 1 to 3 p.m. for all kids; and Monday, March 13 from 6 to 7 p.m. for kids who have not yet tried out.
Tryouts and registration takes place at Federal Little League. The registration fee is $40 per child, or $60 for two or more children. Scholarships are available.
