Furniture Market - Schier's Furniture

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Rick Bonner of Furniture Market attended a managerial criticism and discipline classes recently held in Chambersburg, Pa.

The classes were designed to help those attending challenge themselves in all situations that might occur in a retail furniture business.

Bonner, of Waynesboro, has been with Furniture Market since 1987, working in the warehouse/delivery facility, and for the past 10 years, as manager of showroom store operations.

Rod Starliper attended a managerial criticism and discipline seminar.

The program provides ways to bring about positive changes in people without incurring resentment, making enemies or destroying the work environment.


Starliper, of Waynesboro, has been an employee of Furniture Market in Waynesboro since 2003, working in the warehouse facility, and then as warehouse manager. He monitors and inventories shipping and receipt of merchandise, maintains delivery trucks and supervises warehouse personnel.

84 Lumber Co.

CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - Jason Bosiacki has been hired as a manager trainee at the 84 Lumber Co. store in Charles Town.

Bosiacki, of Brunswick, Md., graduated from Damascus (Md.) High School in 2002.

Hagerstown Trust

Amy L. Murray, formerly with Susquehanna Bank in Greencastle, Pa., joined Hagerstown Trust as residential mortgage loan officer for the Franklin County, Pa., market.

Murray, of Waynesboro, Pa., will be responsible for the development of residential mortgage customer relationships in Franklin County.

Susan L. Himes, formerly with Susquehanna Bank in Greencastle, joined Hagerstown Trust as corporate development and relationship officer for the Franklin County market.

Himes, of Waynesboro, will be responsible for the development of commercial customer relationships in Franklin County.

Dick, Stein and Schemel LLP

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - J. Edgar Wine and John W. Frey have been made partners in the firm of Dick, Stein and Schemel LLP, which now will be known as Dick, Stein, Schemel, Wine & Frey LLP.

Wine earned his doctor of jurisprudence from the Marshall-Wythe School of Law at the College of William & Mary.

He was a practicing attorney for more than 20 years before joining the firm. He served as in-house counsel for local corporations, most recently Grove Worldwide.

Frey has a law degree from the Dickinson School of Law. He has been in private practice in Franklin County, Pa., since 1986. From 1994 until 2005, he was a partner in Keller, Keller and Frey in Waynesboro.

J.P. Trucking Inc.

FALLING WATERS, W.Va. - J.P. Trucking Inc. honored several employees at its quarterly safety breakfast on Oct. 16, 2005, at the Fireside Restaurant and Lounge.

Bert Nichols was honored for six years of service and safety.

Raymond Slick was honored for four years of service.

In addition, Bobby Stotler and Roger Rhinaman were welcomed to the company.

Lois Baker, correctional supply officer III, is the Roxbury Correctional Institution's Employee of the Month for February.

She was given the award for her exceptional performance of duties during the absence of the commissary supervisor from September 2005 through January.

Baker perfomed the supervisory duties "with utmost professionalism and accuracy" as well as handling her normal commissary duties, according to a prepared release.

Jack GaughenRealtor ERA

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Jack Gaughen Realtor ERA's Waynesboro office recognized sales professionals Paul Gunder and Julianne Lesniak for their performances in January.

The decision was based on the number of new listings, sales and referrals, attendance at real estate meetings and workshops and customer satisfaction reports.

Also, Jack Gaughen's corporate office in Camp Hill, Pa., recognized the Waynesboro office at tops in the company in January.

The Waynesboro office was No. 1 in written production among all 15 of the Jack Gaughen offices in central and southcentral Pennsylvania.

The office had $11.7 million in listings and $11.5 million in sales written during January.

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Dustin Willgohs has joined the Chambersburg office of Jack Gaughen Realtor ERA.

Willgohs was licensed Jan. 31 and graduated from the training programs in the Waynesboro training office on Feb. 10.
