Army Pfc. Robert A. Mitchell Jr., son of Robert and Angela Mitchell of Kearneysville, W.Va., graduated from the Infantryman One Station Unit Training at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga.

The training consists of basic infantry training and advanced individual training.

Marine Corps Pfc. Michael J. Cole, son of Ronald W. Cole of Thurmont, Md., recently completed 12 weeks of basic training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, S.C.

Army Pvt. Randall J. Daley, son of Robert A. Daley of Martinsburg, W.Va., graduated from the Power-Generation Equipment Repairer Advanced Individual Training (AIT) course at Aberdeen (Md.) Proving Ground.

Daley was trained to perform unit, direct support or general support maintenance functions on power-generation equipment. Daley is a 2005 graduate of the Harpers Ferry (W.Va.) Job Corps Center.


Navy Seaman Recruit Joseph D. Hegedusich recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.

Hegedusich is a 2004 graduate of Jefferson High School in Shenandoah Junction, W.Va.

Navy Seaman Recruit Charity S. Burkett, daughter of Susan I. Blank and stepdaughter of Nathaniel Moore of Martinsburg, W.Va., recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.

Burkett is a 2005 graduate of Martinsburg High School.

Army National Guard Sgt. Thomas E. Watson, son of Thomas E. Watson of Westover Drive, Shippensburg, Pa., has returned to the United States after being deployed to an overseas forward operating location in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Watson is an aircraft technical inspector assigned to the 628th Division Aviation Support Battalion, Annville, Pa.

His wife, Stacy, is the daughter of Betty Reed of Waynesboro, Pa.

Watson is a 1986 graduate of Shippensburg High School.
