Harvest for the Hungry plans food drive

February 28, 2006

Harvest for the Hungry is hosting the largest food drive in Maryland - the annual Harvest for the Hungry Letter Carrier Week Food Drive - March 4 to 11. Local food banks will be working with the United States Postal Service, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and the public to collect nonperishable food items to help feed hungry Marylanders.

During the week beginning March 4, Marylanders may leave a bag of nonperishable food items by their mailbox and local Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts or letter carriers will pick it up. Food also may be dropped in specially marked containers at post offices or Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Offices across Maryland.

All food donations will benefit local food banks across the state.
