Frederick Memorial Healthcare System

FREDERICK, Md. - Frederick Memorial Healthcare System has announced that the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) has added Frederick Memorial Hospital to its Registry of Mentoring Hospitals in the area of Medication Reconciliation.

The IHI launched its Mentor Hospital Registry in the midst of its Save 100,000 Lives Campaign, to foster shared learning experiences among hospitals nationwide. This on-line resource registry lists hospitals that have demonstrated organizational expertise in one of the areas designated by the IHI as a critical component in patient safety.

Registry hospitals have also agreed to offer support, advice, clinical expertise and implementation tips to fellow campaign participants.

The Mentor Hospital Registry is designed to help campaign participants identify the most suitable mentor hospital(s) to contact for assistance, based on whatever criteria is deemed appropriate.

Frederick Memorial Hospital will serve as a role model, mentor, and a national resource for other hospitals as they strive to improve patient care in the medication reconciliation arena.
