ANNAPOLIS - Gov. Robert L. Ehrlich Jr. recognized three Washington County residents Friday for their work to support wildland fires nationally.

Kevin Moore of Keedysville, Cody Miller of Clear Spring and Dan Bunker of Sharpsburg - all Maryland Forest Service Wildland firefighters - were recognized, according to a written release.

Each fought wildfires in other states during the past year as part of the Maryland Wildland Fire Crew. The crew includes 20 firefighters, and volunteer and career personnel who have completed specialized wildland fire training.
