New iPod up for grabs

February 17, 2006

Contest rules

A group of teenagers helped redesign this teen section, formerly known as Next, which needs a new name to reflect the changes. Whoever comes up with the name we use will receive an iPod.

Teen writers generate the majority of the content, which focuses on teen lifestyles and entertainment.

The redesign committee based suggestions on the results of surveys of Washington County students. Robert Keller, an eighth-grader at Western Heights Middle School; Sarah Johnston, a junior at North Hagerstown High School; and Summer-Rain Quintana, a senior at North Hagerstown High School completed the project.

If you have a name for the section, please e-mail it to Lifestyle Editor Jake Womer at and include your name, age, phone number and address. You also can mail it to The Herald-Mail; c/o Lifestyle; P.O. Box 439; Hagerstown, MD 21740. All entries must be received by 5 p.m. March 8. Herald-Mail employees and their families are ineligible. Contestants must be older than 11 and younger than 20. Contestants must live in Washington or Frederick counties in Maryland; Fulton or Franklin counties in Pennsylvania; or Morgan, Berkeley or Jefferson counties in West Virginia.
