Boonsboro, Smithsburg FFA members attend national meet

February 14, 2006

Several members from the Boonsboro and Smithsburg FFA chapters traveled to the 78th annual Future Farmers of America National Convention in Louisville, Ky.

All 50 states and the Virgin Islands had representatives at the convention.

While in Kentucky, the two chapters attended a Craig Morgan and SHeDaisy concert. Earlier in the day, the members got autographs and pictures with the performers.

They experienced a real live bull bash, six flags freight fest, and attended the FFA dance.

Throughout the days, the members wore official FFA clothing, including the blue-and-gold corduroy jackets.

They attended several sessions and workshops. They listened to the speeches from the 2003-2004 national officers and the introduction of 2005-2006 national officers.

The next national convention will be held in Indianapolis. "The chapters both had an amazing experience and took home memories to last a lifetime," members said in a press release.
