Ag entrepreneurship training program to be offered in W.Va.

KEARNEYSVILLE, W.Va. - "Tilling the Soil of Opportunity," a nationally recognized agriculture-entrepreneurship training program is coming to the area, according to the Jefferson County Agriculture Development Office.

The 12-session program, customized for local landowners and agri-business owners, is to be offered, in conjunction with the Small Business Development Center and WVU Extension.

On Wednesday, Feb. 15, an informational meeting and pre-registration will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. in the BizTech conference room at 150 E. Burr Blvd., in Kearneysville.

"This course will help you develop a business plan to explore the marketing and financial benefits of diversifying an existing venture or expanding your current operation," the ag development office said in a press release.

Speakers for the program are to include a local marketing professional, CPA and lending professionals.
