SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. - Kitty Clark, executive director for Goose Route Arts Collaborative, announced the dates for the sixth annual Goose Route Dance Festival.
This year's festival will be held July 14 to 16 and July 21 to 23, 2006.
All events will take place at the War Memorial Building, 102 E. German St., Shepherdstown. Festival events include professional performances, classes for professional dancers and children, family shows, and lectures.
The focus of the festival is contemporary dance, and choreographers from a variety of geographic locations, including New York City, Washington, D.C., and Shepherdstown, will be featured.
Artists selected to perform will be announced in April.
The mission of GRAC, Inc. is to collaborate with artists - both urban and non-urban - to create and present new performance pieces; to cultivate in audiences an appreciation of dance, music, and other art forms; and to provide communities with meaningful artistic experiences.
