Club meetings

Antietam Garden Club

Monday, Feb. 13, business meeting at 9:30 a.m., workshop at 10:30 a.m., home of Kathryn Costa, 13116 Fountain Head Road, Hagerstown. Emi Furukawa of Lutherville, Md., will present a freestyle Japanese floral design program. Bring fresh or dried flowers, branches and container to create your own design. Lunch will follow the meeting at Four Points Sheraton Restaurant.

The Golden Agers

Monday, Feb. 13, 9:30 a.m., Longmeadow Church of the Brethren, 19642 Longmeadow Road, Hagerstown. This is a new senior citizen luncheon and fellowship organization. All are welcome. The next meeting will be Monday, April 10. Call 301-733-3250.

Mack Golden Bulldogs

MAUGANSVILLE - Monday, Feb. 13, social hour at 9:15 a.m., meeting at 10 a.m., U.A.W. Union Hall, Maugans Avenue. Following coffee and doughnuts, Roger Johnston, vice president and general manager of Volvo Power Train, will speak about Volvo and Mack Trucks. All Mack retirees are welcome. In case of inclement weather, there will be no meeting when there is no school.

Tri State Civitan Club

Monday, Feb. 13, 6 p.m., private home, 308 Hebb Road, Hagerstown. The club meets the second Monday of each month. It's focus is helping people with developmental disabilities. This meeting will be a combination membership drive and Tupperware fundraiser. Pizza will be served. Interested parties are invited to attend. Crossroads Garden Club

Tuesday, Feb. 14, refreshments at 12:30 p.m., Women's Club, 31 S. Prospect St., Hagerstown. At 1 p.m., Judy Lilga, president of the Ornithological Society, will offer a slide presentation on winter birds in our area.

AARP Chapter 623

FUNKSTOWN - Tuesday, Feb. 14, 1:30 p.m., Funkstown Moose Lodge. A representative of Equipped for Life will speak. Deniece Fields of the Maryland State AARP will visit. Refreshments will be served. Meetings are canceled if schools are closed or delayed two hours due to inclement weather.

Homewood at Williamsport Auxiliary

WILLIAMSPORT - Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2 p.m., community building at Homewood at Williamsport, 16505 Virginia Ave. Plans for fundraisers in 2006 will be discussed. Mary Sue Cochran, director of nursing, will speak.

Friendship Quilters Guild

Tuesday, Feb. 14, 7 p.m., Seventh-day Adventist Church, Robinwood Drive, Hagerstown. Mary Perini will talk about how to choose a quilting design for your finished tops.
