Brechbill & Helman Construction Co.

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Brechbill & Helman Construction Co. Inc. of Chambersburg has been awarded a design-build contract for a new medical office building for Norland Family Practice, P.C.

The 9,000-square-foot facility is to be built adjacent to the existing facility in Chambersburg.

Construction is scheduled to begin in November and be completed in July 2007.

The architect is Bushey Feight Morin Architects Inc. of Hagerstown.

Potomac Bancshares

Robert F. Baronner Jr., president and CEO of Potomac Bancshares, announced the company's net income for the year ended Dec. 31, 2005, was $3.664 million, a $0.574 million, or 18.6 percent, increase over net income of $3.090 million for the year ended Dec. 31, 2004.

Diluted earnings per share were $1.07 for 2005, compared to 91 cents for 2004, an increase of 16 cents per share.


A dividend of 9 cents per share will be paid on March 1 to shareholders of record as of Feb. 15. This is the 12th consecutive increase in the dividend since the company began paying them on a quarterly basis in 2003. The company's total dividend was 34 cents per share for 2005, compared to 30 cents per share for 2004.

BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Thomas F. Rokisky, president and CEO of CNB Financial Services Inc., the parent company of Citizens National Bank of Berkeley Springs, announced that CNB had consolidated net income of $2.4 million, or $5.34 per share, for the year ended Dec. 31, 2005, compared to $2.3 million, or $5.12 per share for the year ended Dec. 31, 2004.

Jackson HewittTax Service

Jackson Hewitt Tax Service received an award from Maryland's comptroller for being Washington County's Electronic Filer of the Year for Maryland state tax returns.

Local field representative Catherine Moorhouse from the Comptroller's Office, presented the award to Rose Marie Schiesel, owner of Jackson Hewitt Tax Service, on Jan. 27, at the 585 Northern Ave. location.
