Antrim Assembly of God, Greencastle, Pa., a Feb. 17 planning meeting at 7 p.m. is for anyone interested in the structure of the first Friday Night Fire scheduled for March 3 at 7 p.m.

Designed for area youth and church youth groups, the non-denominational event will feature live local bands such as PS150 and Forgiven, food, local talent and fellowship.

Zion Baptist Church, 61 W. Bethel St., Hagerstown, the annual love feast will be held Feb. 18 from noon to 3 p.m.

Otterbein United Methodist Church, 108 E. Franklin St., Hagerstown, the third annual Grace, Graze and Grow Lenten program will be getting under way Feb. 28 and continuing each Tuesday through April 4 beginning at 6 p.m.

There will be programs geared for all age groups with videos, animated stories, contemporary music, prayer points and developing discipleship skills.

Themes include Hey God, Let's Talk, world religions, making love last a lifetime, raising great kids among others.

Classes are held in Fellowship Hall, beginning at 6 p.m. for an offering of grace. Then participants will "graze" on a light meal until 6:30 p.m. when they meet in their class until 7:45 p.m.

A registration form for each adult, youth and child is required. A child care registration form for each infant and toddler is also required.

Transportation will be provided if possible.




Mountain View Baptist Church, 12107 Walnut Point Road, Hagerstown, the annual missions conference will be held March 1-5 at 7 nightly. Speakers will include African missionary Gardiner Gentry, Toru Marshall and missionaries from Cambodia, The Philippines, Cuba and Dominican Republic.

A missions banquet will be Saturday, March 4, at 6:30 p.m. Sunday services are at 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. and 7 p.m.

Hagerstown Church of the Brethren, East Washington and Mulberry streets, Hagerstown, reservations are due by March 6 for an Interfaith Prayer Breakfast to be held Saturday, March 11.

Participants will gather at 8 a.m. with breakfast served at 8:30 a.m.

The theme is Experiencing Prayer and will include brief presentations from Baha'i, Christian, Jewish and Muslim perspectives.
