SMITHSBURG - Capt. James Ulrich said Smithsburg Emergency Medical Services personnel responded to 92 calls for service in January.
Eight were to Frederick County, Md., and three were to Franklin County, Pa. There were 29 calls in the Smithsburg town limits, eight to the Cascade area, and five in the Mount Aetna area. Thirteen calls were to the Leitersburg area, Ulrich said.
A total of 65 patients went to area hospitals during January.
