RESTON, Va. - Time is running out for students to apply for $1,000 scholarships from Maryland & Virginia Milk Producers Cooperative Association.
Applications must be postmarked by Feb. 15.
The milk co-op awards five $1,000 scholarships each year for the upcoming academic year based on each applicant's academic achievement, extracurricular activities, financial need, and future plans. To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must work on the farm of a Maryland & Virginia member, be enrolled in an accredited two- or four-year college, university or trade school, and be pursuing a career in the dairy industry.
Applications are available on the cooperative's Website, www.mdvamilk.com
Recipients are to be announced by May 1.
