Monday, Feb. 6, 7 p.m., Elks Lodge, 11063 Robinwood Drive, Hagerstown. The annual card party will be planned. The secretary will be available an hour prior to the meeting to collect dues for the coming year. Members are urged to attend.

Waynesboro Historical Society

QUINCY, Pa. - Tuesday, Feb. 7, 7 p.m., Quincy Village Minnich Manor. Brig. Gen. Watson Stoner will share his knowledge of Brig. Gen. David Stewart Gordon in the presentation, "Local General Better Horse Soldier than Contemporary George Custer." Because of the possibility of inclement weather in February, light refreshments will be served instead of dinner, so the program will begin a half-hour later than usual. Free and open to the public. No reservations necessary.

Harpers Ferry Civil War Roundtable

HARPERS FERRY, W.Va. - Wednesday, Feb. 8, 8 p.m., Camp Hill Methodist Church, corner of Washington and Gilmore streets. Steve French will speak on Gen. John C. Imboden's task of transporting Confederate wounded to Virginia after the Battle of Gettysburg. The meeting is free and open to the public.

Washington County NAACP

Thursday, Feb. 9, 7 p.m., Memorial Recreation Center, 109 W. North Ave., Hagerstown. Members and interested individuals are invited to attend the monthly meeting. The year's agenda will be set, so members are encouraged to bring their calendars.

Puppy Love Pasta Dinner

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Sponsored by Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter, Friday, Feb. 10, 4 to 8 p.m., large banquet room at Franklin Street Fire Hall. The spaghetti dinner includes coleslaw, rolls, beverages and dessert. Tickets cost $5 each and may be purchased in advance or at the door. Takeout containers will be available.
