Pa. police report rash of thefts from vehicles

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - Pennsylvania State Police said a 2000 white Lincoln Navigator, belonging to Erin Bailey of Shippensburg, was stolen between 5 and 6 p.m. while parked at 978 Ashton Drive in Southampton Township. The sport utility vehicle was later involved in a hit-and-run accident at the intersection of North Morris and Westover streets that was investigated by the Shippensburg Police Department.

Police said the driver fled after the accident. He was described as white, about 25 years old with black spiked hair and was wearing blue jeans.




ST. THOMAS, Pa. - Pennsylvania State Police say a St. Thomas man has been charged with molesting two girls last month.

Police said Randy Adams, 47, address unavailable, was charged with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and corruption of minors in an incident that occurred Jan. 12 at an address in the 7000 block of Cumberland Circle. The incidents took place between 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. and involved two girls, ages 8 and 9, police said.

Adams was initially jailed in Franklin County Prison, but later released on bond, police said. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Feb. 14.




CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - A Carlisle, Pa., woman was charged Thursday by Pennsylvania State Police with resisting arrest following an incident at the Super 8 Motel, 3848 Olde Scotland Road.

Police went to the motel at 1:06 p.m. after receiving a report of a disturbance and damage to the building. Nicole Jones Madrigal, 35, address unavailable, was taken into custody and also charged with possession of marijuana, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief, police said.
