Kurt N. Donaldson, 67

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Kurt N. Donaldson, 67, of Chambersburg, and formerly of Warren, Pa., died Sunday, Jan. 29, 2006, at his home in the company of his family.

Born Jan. 28, 1939, in Jamestown, N.Y., he was the son of the late Lenhart and Helen Baird Donaldson.

He graduated from Warren High School in 1957.

He was employed with Chevrolet motor division of General Motors in Carnegie, Pa. He was a distribution manager and retired in 1998, after 38 years of service, due to health concerns.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Pamela Crosscut Donaldson; one daughter, Kathleen M. Donaldson of Baltimore; one son, Gregory S. Donaldson of Linden, Tenn.; three siblings, John L. Donaldson of Warren, Craig H. Donaldson of Rochester, N.Y., and Mary Leman of Illinois; one grandson; nieces; and nephews.


A memorial service will be held at a later date.

It is his request that in lieu of flowers or other memorial donations, you do something nice for a stranger.

CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - Dorsey David Dunlap, 72, of Charles Town, died Saturday, Jan. 28, 2006, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Martinsburg, W.Va.

Born July 21, 1933, in St. George, W.Va., he was the son of the late Bartlett and Ethel Dunlap.

He was a retired heavy-equipment operator.

He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Army.

He was a member of Millville Pentecostal Church.

He is survived by two daughters, Dorothy K. Dyke of Charles Town and Stephanie Dunlap of Inwood, W.Va.; three sons, Perry Dunlap of Florence, S.C., Chris Dunlap Sr. of Hartville, S.C., and Clint Dunlap of Martinsburg; one sister, Mary Dunlap of Shepherdstown, W.Va.; three brothers, Daniel Dunlap of Rohrersville, Jerry Dunlap of Yreka, Calif., and Tim Dunlap of Shepherdstown; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth Poling and Jim Dunlap; one granddaughter; and one great-grandson.

Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Millville Pentecostal Church. The Rev. Joseph Fraley will officiate. Burial will be in Edge Hill Cemetery, Charles Town.

The family will receive friends today and Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Eackles-Spencer and Norton Funeral Home, Harpers Ferry, W.Va.

Earl H. Miller, 73

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Earl H. Miller, 73, of 849 Brandon Drive, and formerly of Fort Loudon, Pa., died Monday, Jan. 30, 2006, at Chambersburg Hospital.

Born July 15, 1932, in Mercersburg, Pa., he was a son of the late George E. and Faye Seville Miller.

He was a truck driver for more than 30 years, retiring from the former Noerr Motor Freight in Lewistown, Pa.

He was a member of Welsh Run Brethren in Christ.

He is survived by his wife of more than 53 years, Doris Foust Miller; one daughter, Sherre L. Shelly of Mercersburg; four sons, Robert E. of Orlando, Fla., Dennis E. and Thomas C., both of Mercersburg, and Steven C. of Chambersburg; one sister, Norma Atherton of Fort Loudon; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; nieces; and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Merle Miller.

Services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Christian Life Assembly of God, Chambersburg. The Revs. Joseph Pickens and LeRoy Wiley will officiate. Burial will follow in Parklawns Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg, and one hour prior to the services Thursday at the church.

Susan L. Ardinger

She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Don P. Ardinger; a daughter, Kristen M. Ardinger of Jackson Hole, Wyo.; a daughter, Sandra L. Cousins and her husband, Brian H. Cousins, of Jackson Hole; a sister, Trudy Kunze and her husband, Frank, of Royersford, Pa.; a brother, George Yeager, and his wife, Karen, of Camp Hill, Pa.; nieces; and nephews.

Helen F. Janosik, 91

WILLIAMSPORT - Helen F. Stanya Janosik, age 91, of Williamsport, Md., formerly of Hopwood, Pa., passed away Sunday morning, Jan. 29, 2006, at Homewood at Williamsport Nursing Center.

Born Aug. 18, 1914, in Lemont Furnace, Pa., the daughter of the late Michael Stanya Sr. and Ella Fabian Stanya.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Janosik; brother, Michael Stanya Jr.; sisters, Mary Bartko, Cathryn Balcheck, Eustine Zapatosky, Anna Paroda and Pauline Miller.
