Zellman is named department employee of the month

Katrina Zellman has been named the Washington County Health Department's Employee of the Month for the month of January. Zellman, a registered nurse with the health department's school health program, has worked at the health department since 1999. Prior to her work with school health, she worked with the agency's Healthy Start program providing prenatal assistance to expectant mothers.

Her selection reflects not only her professional dedication to the students that she serves, but also her instrumental work in the development of the school-based wellness center at South High. The center opened for the 2005-06 school year and provides South High students with greatly expanded access to health-care needs.
