St. John's Episcopal Church, Hagerstown, the Rev. Scott Bellows will preach at the 8 and 10:15 a.m. communion services this Sunday. The Mercersburg Academy Chorale under the direction of Jim Brinson and Richard Rotz, will present music at the later service.

Christian education is at 9 a.m.

St. Mark's Lutheran Church, the Rev. David Kaplan will be preaching this Sunday at the 8 a.m. chapel and 10:30 a.m. services on the topic, The Voice of Authority.

Sunday school for all ages begins at 9:15 a.m.

Asbury United Methodist Church, Shepherdstown, W.Va., the Rev. Rudolph Bropleh will speak on the topic, Becoming Devil Chasers, at the 11 a.m. service this Sunday.

St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Smithsburg, Pastor Mark Mooney will preach at 9:30 a.m. this Sunday on the topic, Jesus: The Great Physician. A new puppet, Rock, will be introduced.


Sunday School classes for children, youth and adults are at 10:45 a.m.

Valley Assembly of God Christian Life Center, 17544 York Road, Hagerstown, the Rev. Robert Jones will speak at 10 a.m. this Sunday on the topic, Scarecrows.

At the 6 p.m. service, the topic will be Coping with Stress, Part 2.

Sunday school is at 9 a.m.

Calvary United Methodist Church, Martinsburg, W.Va., the Rev. Al Clipp will speak on the topic, Trouncing the Demonic, at the 8:30 and 10:45 a.m. services this Sunday.

Zion United Church of Christ, the Rev. Robert Royal will speak at the 11 a.m. service this Sunday. The topic will be The Gordian Knot.

Calvary Grace Brethren Church, Pastor Doug Courter's topic at 10:30 a.m. this Sunday is Part 3 of Sharing Your Faith - It's Really Not That Hard.

Sunday school is at 9:15 a.m. At the 6 p.m. Sunday service, Courter will speak on Bible study methods, Part 3.

Bible study is Tuesday at 10 a.m. and youth activities are Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.

Pikeside United Methodist Church, Paynes Ford Road and U.S. 11, Martinsburg, W.Va., the Rev. Thomas Young Jr. will bring the message, Even The Demons Believe, at the 8:30 service this Sunday.

At 10:35 a.m., Laura Grove will speak on The Case of the Disguised Deity at the service led by the youth fellowship. A luncheon will follow.

Sunday School for all ages is at 9:15 a.m. The Sunday evening praise service begins at 6:15 p.m. with Faithful Friends in concert.

Bible studies are Tuesday and Wednesday at 10 a.m., and Thursday at 7 p.m.

River of Life Family Worship Center, Rufus Wilson Road, east of Clear Spring, the Rev. David Brady will be guest speaker this Sunday at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.

There will be special music at both services.

Mount Vernon Reformed UCC, Keedysville, Pastor Delancey Catlett will speak on the topic, A Prophet Has Been Raised Up, at the 10:40 a.m. service this Sunday.

Christ Reformed United Church of Christ, Sharpsburg, Pastor Delancey Catlett will speak on the topic, A Prophet Has Been Raised Up, at the 9 a.m. service this Sunday.

Children's Sunday school begins at 10 a.m.

Church of the Holy Trinity, Halfway, the Rev. Tim Leighton will lead the 10:45 a.m. service this Sunday with a sermon on the topic, A Good Teacher is Hard to Find. Children's church meets during the service. Fellowship and light refreshments follow the service.

Tri-State Fellowship, 13153 Cearfoss Pike, Hagerstown, Pastor Randy Buchman will be speaking on the topic, The Goal of Gaining the Prize, at the 9:30 a.m. service this Sunday in the auditorium. There will be a special family worship in the video cafe, also at 9:30 a.m.

The children's program is also at 9:30 a.m. Learning centers are at 11 a.m.

Church of Christ in the Great Valley, Paul Toothman will be speaking this Sunday at 10 a.m. on the topic, I Will Guide You With My Eye.

Wednesday night services begin at 7.

The congregation meets at the Woodmen of the World lodge on Reichard Road in Fairplay.
